Using Scribe's sidebar editor

You've captured your Scribe, but it still requires a little tweaking. No worries, the Scribe editor is there to help you customize! 

To summarize, on the Basic plan, the sidebar editor enables you to:

  • Perform Document Actions: Add to a Page, duplicate, move and delete a Scribe directly from the Scribe.
  • Perform Step Actions: Combine, copy, magic merge and delete multiple steps.
  • Allow Team Collaboration: Toggle step completion, public and team comments and reactions.
  • Show Stats & Info: See detailed information around the creation and last updated times and users, as well as view count, interactions and comments.



Additionally, on the Pro or Enterprise plan, the Sidebar Editor enables you to do all of the above plus:

  • Customize your Scribe: Show or hide author, creation time and step count, timestamps and table of contents.
  • Customize your Click Target (aka the orange dot): Change the color of your click target.
  • Allow Team Collaboration: Toggle feedback on or off.
