Scheduled updates let you keep a supported document Artifact current without asking the Optimize Agent the same question again. Optimize re-runs the Artifact’s prompt on a recurring schedule and saves each run as a new version, so the report stays up to date without anyone rebuilding it.
Scheduled updates were previously called Live Artifacts.
| Artifacts | Scheduled updates | |
|---|---|---|
| What it does | Saves an output created by the Optimize Agent | Re-runs a supported document Artifact on a recurring schedule |
| Best for | One-time analysis, charts, tables, process maps, or documents | Reports you want to keep current over time |
What you can schedule
Scheduled updates are available for documents, including business cases and project briefs. Charts and process maps update automatically only when they are embedded in a document. Standalone charts, graphs, and process maps cannot currently be scheduled.
Creating and editing scheduled updates
Good to know
- Cadence options: weekly, every two weeks, monthly, or quarterly.
- Content can vary between runs: each scheduled run re-generates the document from the latest workflow data, so wording, formatting, and cited evidence can change from one version to the next. Every run is saved in version history, so you can always see what a previous version said.
- Permissions: Org Optimizers can create and edit scheduled updates for any team; Team Optimizers and Admins can do so for their own teams.
