Why am I being charged sales tax / is my Scribe subscription taxable?
Your Scribe subscription may be subject to sales tax in some countries, states, or provinces (governed by your region’s tax laws). If sales tax applies, Scribe is obligated by law to collect it from our customers. If applicable, sales tax will be listed separately on your invoice.
How does Scribe determine tax rate?
Tax rates can vary by country, state, territory and city, and are based on the applicable rate at the time of your Scribe subscription charge. These amounts can change over time if local tax requirements change.
If you think you are being charged an incorrect tax amount, please verify your billing information. Instructions on how to update your billing information can be found here.
What happens with the sales tax once it’s collected?
The entire amount charged to a customer for sales tax is remitted to the required jurisdiction and no amounts are retained by Scribe.
What if my organization is tax-exempt?
Certain businesses such as non-profit organizations, educational institutions and other organizations may have tax exemptions in various jurisdictions. If your business has an exemption certificate please submit a copy of your certificate through this form.
