Sharing with your teammates is great for collaboration.
But if you’re creating documentation for a larger audience — like your company or external clients — you don’t need to add them to your team and pay for extra licenses. Instead, choose the sharing option that fits your use case:
- Link
- Embed
- Export (Available on Pro and Enterprise plans for Scribes. Not available for Pages.)
Tips for sharing outside your organization
- Double-check the document’s privacy settings before sending. For links and embeds, it must be set as “anyone with the link can view.”
- Redact sensitive information before sharing (Pro and Enterprise plans)
- When sharing via email, make sure the “Automatically add to team” checkbox is off if you don’t want people who receive it to be automatically invited to your team. Here's how.
Option 1: Share via link
This is the fastest way to share a Scribe externally.
Option 2: Invite specific people by email
If you want more control over who has access and need to share with a few people.
Option 3: Embed in your existing tools
Want to share documentation exactly where people already work? You can embed Scribes in tools like: Confluence, Notion, SharePoint, and more
Option 4: Export to your preferred file type
Need to share your Scribe as a standalone document? You can export it in the format that works best for your audience. We support: PDF, Word, Markdown, HTML, and Confluence.
