Optimize doesn't have a team switcher like Capture's. Instead, your role determines how much you see: Org Optimizers and System Admins see every team at once from a central Team Management view in Settings; Team Optimizers are scoped to their own team's dashboard. Adding someone to more than one team is a deliberate admin action, not something the user toggles themselves.
The key distinction: only the Participant role is capped at one team. Optimizer-level roles (Team Optimizer, Org Optimizer) can be added to as many teams as needed.
How to add someone to another team
- Go to Settings > Team Management > Users.
- Find the user and use the Role dropdown next to their name to set their role for a given team.
- Use the three-dot menu next to their name to Add to team, this prompts you to pick which role they should have on the new team (their role can differ team to team, e.g. Team Optimizer on one, Participant on another).
- To remove someone's access entirely, use Deactivate user from the same menu. This frees up their Participant license; their data is preserved and they can be reactivated anytime.
A user can't be removed from their only team — everyone in Optimize must belong to at least one team at all times.
Managing settings across multiple teams
Rather than switching into each team, admins manage per-team settings from one place:
- Go to Settings > Team Management > Teams.
- Use the three-dot menu next to each team to:
- Manage redaction: override the org-wide default with a team-specific redaction policy.
- Update team name and icon.
This table view is what actually replaces a "switcher" for admins, you see every team listed at once and drill into whichever one needs attention, rather than changing your active context.
If you use SCIM
If SCIM provisioning is enabled, all of the above moves to your identity provider, team membership and role changes are managed in your IdP, not in Scribe's Settings UI.
