Fixing the “Limited Installation” message in Scribe Capture

If you’re seeing a “Limited Installation” message in the Scribe desktop application, it usually means that Scribe was installed without the required system permissions.

This can prevent certain features from working properly.

How to resolve this?

To fix this, you’ll need to reinstall the Scribe desktop application with administrator rights.

Important notes

  • Make sure to run the installer as an administrator during the installation process
  • If you're using a work device, you may need help from your IT team to complete the installation
  • After reinstalling, restart the application and check if the message is gone
