Autocapture is deliberately narrow in what it captures. Here's exactly what's included and excluded.
What's collected
Only three things, and only within apps your admin has approved:
- Screenshots
- Clicks
- Text entered
What's excluded
- No audio or video is ever recorded.
- Passwords and payment fields are configured to be excluded by default — Scribe mutes keystroke detection on secure fields like these, so that data is excluded from capture and subject to confirmation before publication and sharing.
Where it applies
This only happens inside apps on your organization's approved list, and only for people your admin has enrolled. Nothing outside those two boundaries is ever captured.
Good to know
- If sensitive information still ends up in a screenshot (something other than a password or payment field), Scribe offers redaction tools to remove it before anything is shared. See Screenshots: Redact Sensitive Information.
- No activity is ever shared or published as a Scribe without a person reviewing it first.
