You can turn off Autocapture for yourself at any time. Admins can also turn it off for their team, and, on Enterprise, for specific teams or individuals.
Turning it off for yourself
Everyone enrolled in Autocapture can pause it for themselves, at any time, from Settings in the Scribe extension. This stops new activity from being captured going forward.
Your personal opt-out takes priority over your admin's settings.
Turning it off for your team (Admins)
Pro Team: Autocapture is on or off for the whole team — there's no way to turn it off for some members and not others.
Enterprise: System Admins have full granularity. They can turn Autocapture (workflow mapping) on or off:
- For the entire super-org
- For a specific team
- For a specific individual
Team Admins can see who's being captured on their team but cannot enroll or unenroll anyone themselves — only System Admins make that call.
What happens when you turn it off
Turning Autocapture off stops new activity from being collected from that point forward. It does not retroactively delete activity that was already captured — previously captured data stays governed by your organization's retention policy, and remains in My Activity / Team Activity until it's removed or expires under that policy.
Good to know
Pro Team admins can request the deletion of their team’s Autocapture data from Settings. See How do I request deletion of data?
